To suit your preferences and the aesthetic of your home, Modern Steel™ garage doors come in a wide range of alternatives. These stunning and strong steel-panel garage doors will improve the curb appeal of your home, regardless of whether it is mid-century modern, contemporary, or anywhere in between.

OVERVIEW OF CONSTRUCTION

  • Steel garage doors with short and long panels.

  • Steel garage doors with a three, two, or one layer construction are available.

  • There are several types of insulation available, including 1-5/16″ vinyl backed polystyrene insulation, 2″ or 1-3/8″ Intellicore® polyurethane, and 2″ or 1-3/8″ polystyrene. R-values of 6.3 to 18.4 for insulated doors.

  • A durable, multi-layered coating method that consists of a hot-dipped galvanised layer, a baked-on primer, and a top coat protects the steel skins.

  • For installations requiring significant wind loads, WINDCODE® door reinforcing is offered.

OVERVIEW OF DESIGN

  • Steel panels are offered in a flush or grooved form.

  • By model and paint surface, steel surface textures vary.

  • There are 13 factory finish options available, including finishes with an Ultra-Grain® wood look.

  • There are numerous glass and window size possibilities, including long and short designs, insulated, frosted, and slim options.

  • For simple cleaning, optional window grilles can be removed.

ASSURANCE FOR THE ENVIORNMENT

Clopay doors are in accordance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations. Clopay doors are free of HFCs. Clopay doors meet the following requirements:

  • SB 1013 (California)

  • HB 1112 — Hydrofluorocarbon Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Washington

  • Ozone-depleting chemicals and halocarbon alternatives rules in Canada have been amended.

  • Greenhouse Gas Bill (A-5583/S-3919) in New Jersey

LIFTMASTER® ELITE SERIES™

For these garage doors, Clopay recommends LiftMaster® Elite Series® openers. These openers come with a variety of functions that make life much easier.

  • Constructed of three layers, two layers, or one layer.

  • Options for insulation (R-values range from 4.4 to 18.4) include:

    • Intellicore® polyurethane, 2″ or 1-3/8″,

    • Polystyrene, 2″ or 1-3/8″

    • 1-5/16″ polystyrene with vinyl backing

  • Protecting against the elements is made possible by the replaceable vinyl bottom weather seal in rust-free aluminium retainer.

  • For simple cleaning, window grilles can be removed.

  • With the garage door closed and under tension, removing the bottom bracket could result in significant injury. The Safe T-Bracket® prevents this from happening.

  • Steel skins are shielded from corrosion by a durable, multi-layered coating technique that includes a hot-dipped galvanised layer, a protective metal oxide pre-treatment, and a baked-on primer and top coat.
